In addition to the workshop, you'll have access to four weeks of our weekly Reactive Dog Mastermind classes over Zoom with Antonio. These supportive classes are great for accountability, keeping the momentum going, and ensuring your success after the workshop.
Clients For Life
You Can Always Reach Out
Even after the workshop and Zoom classes are complete, Antonio always makes himself available to answer questions and help you continue your journey to success. Once a client, always a client.
Focus & Attention Exercises
Learn how to help your dog to disengage with triggers and engage with you as well as teach them to ignore triggers and focus on you in distracting environments.
Sit or Down Command
While obedience is a secondary priority in the workshop, teaching your dog to hold a sit or down stay in the presence of triggers, and in various situations can help your dog focus on you more, remain calm and practice an alternative behavior when faced with triggers.
Counter-Conditioning
Right now your dog is conditioned to respond a certain way when they see a trigger. Pairing the presence of triggers with positive experiences like affection, play or food rewards can change your dog's emotional response to the trigger, creating an entirely different and wanted response.
How To Use Food
Food can be a powerful motivator, but you need to learn the difference between bribing and rewarding. If your dog is food motivated and you've tried using food to deal with their reactivity, you may being using it incorrectly. Using food can actually reinforce unwanted behaviors and create more problems when done incorrectly.
How To Use Play
Play is another powerful motivator for dogs. Learning how to use play can not only improve and benefit your relationship, but it can also help your dog learn to ignore triggers while having a great time with their new favorite person... You!
How To Implement Corrections
Learn the most effective and appropriate way to give your dog a correction if and when needed. Using corrections to create boundaries and discourage unwanted or inappropriate behavior is an important and sometimes necessary part of training and behavior modification. Unecessary and or inappropriate corrections can create bigger problems and even lead to aggression.
When To Allow Observation
Allowing for observation is an important part of normalizing the presence of triggers while practicing calm behavior. You can't avoid triggers because its not realistic, but you also should not be correcting your dog just for looking at a trigger. You'll learn the difference between observation and locking on, as well as how and when to interject.
Desensitization & Exposure
You may tend to outright avoid any situation where your dog is reactive. The very act of exposing your dog to triggers while participating in the workshop, coupled with all that you'll learn, can and will help to desensitize and normalize your dog to being around triggers.,
All Breeds &
Sizes Welcomed
Don't worry, your dog can join our workshop!
It doesn't matter whether your dog is 5 pounds or 150 pounds, they are welcomed in this workshop. From Chihuahua's, Pomeranians, and Yorkie's to Cane Corso's, Great Dane's and Tibetan Mastiff's, any breed or mix of breeds can join. This is THE workshop for you and your reactive dog.
Dogs Best suited for the workshop
OVERLY EXCITED DOGS
Dog's that seem to have good intentions but "go crazy" and are otherwise inconsolable whenever they see people, dogs or anything else outside
AGGRESSIVE DOGS
Dog's that have shown aggression to dogs and or people, with or without a bite history. It does not matter if it is offensive, defensive or fearful aggression.
OUT OF CONTROL DOGS
Dog's that bark, lunge, and just "lose their minds" around dogs, peoples, cars, bikes, skateboards, etc for known or unknown reasons
DOGS WE DO NOT RECOMMEND JOIN THIS WORKSHOP
We would love to help every dog, but some dogs need a different approach or in-home training. Contact us if your dog is like any mentioned below
-
We work with lots of fearful reactive dogs in our workshops, but dogs that are terrified, avoid people and other dogs, run away, or shut down altogether are not a great fit for this workshop.
-
Dogs who only display reactivity inside the home will, unfortunately, not benefit from our workshop and would require in-home training.
-
Dogs that are under 6 months of age. These pups still have a lot of growing and learning and we recommend waiting just a couple of months longer
WHAT PEOPLE are SAYing
"I've followed Antonio since we got our dog about 3 years ago and learned a lot from his posts. I can only say he's even nicer in person. His patience and ability to sense what you and your dog needs is amazing. He gives clear direction and helps you understand what you need to do and why you want to. He was able to address every person in the group one-on-one and we all learned from everyone else's interactions with him. I could not have asked for more from our training with him, it far surpassed our expectations and we are already seeing improvement in how we're handling our pup and the results. It's a 10 out of 10 with Antonio."

"Leader of the Pack hands down provides the best training for you and your dog! Antonio’s expertise and genuine love for dogs was evident from the start, and the fact that other dog trainers also came to observe his classes, speaks VOLUMES of his skills. Antonio provided me with clear and effective training techniques that have already begun transforming my dog’s behavior. Attending his classes and his recommendations of proper training tools (and teaching me how to use them) have given me all the confidence I need to continue my dog’s training. I highly recommend Leader of the Pack to anyone looking for top-notch dog training! Also, Leyla is the sweetest to work with as well!" - Claudette
"Antonio was the best trainer I ever worked with! I have tried a few with my reactive dog and was always more discouraged. He has changed my life and the relationship I have with my reactive dog. We worked on her reactivity on walks with other dogs, people moving fast, bikes, birds…. Everything. Every walk we go on continues to build our relationship and I cannot thank Antonio enough. 💙" - Taryn
"Antonio is absolutely amazing! He empowers you, the owner. He teaches you the tools you need to train, correct, and reward your dog. Antonio is patient, and thorough, and will detail a customized training plan for you and your dog. My dog, Tommy Bunz, was leash reactive. With Antonio’s help, Tommy was successfully able to walk next to another dog without reacting. I was so happy, I was moved to tears. If you put in the work, you will see progress in no time. I highly recommend Leader of the Pack for your training needs." - Christina
